Joanne & Pat’s June wedding at the Club was full of gorgeous little details, all recently featured on Style Me Pretty. It was so much fun getting to work with Joanne and Pat and getting to know the family who played a huge role in making their day an extra special one. Joanne’s sister Nicole just so happens to be a seasoned wedding planner and stylist, her mom a make-up artist, and Nicole’s fiancé Royce a talented photographer!
The Food & Drink: Following an afternoon ceremony at Hycroft Manor, guests arrived at the Club for an evening reception and mingled on the outdoor terrace while enjoying the couple’s signature cocktails – bourbon sours and sparkling punch. Buffet dinner included an assortment of fresh salads, West-coast inspired seafood dishes and a selection of antipasto. The cake, baked fresh by the Club’s pastry Chef, was a two tier gluten-free red velvet with cream cheese icing.
The Decor: A colour scheme of silver, blush and white create a soft, elegant space for their reception. Guest tables were dressed with white linens, mercury votives, and pink and white centerpieces of hydrangeas and peonies. Foiled seating cards hung with ribbon from each chair and double sided thank-you cards with bride & groom fill-in-the-blanks at each place setting served as the guest book. Gorgeous lace table cloths covered the cocktail tables and the signature drinks were listed on custom bar signage. Vintage elements, such as mirrors, a working typewriter, and suitcases filled with homemade popcorn to take home, helped complete the look.

Melissa and George wed at Terminal City Club on a beautiful Spring weekend in May 2013, with the help of a talented line-up of wedding vendors, their day was a fabulous celebration filled with lots of love, laughs and gorgeous details. Check out a few of their photos courtesy of photographer, Lee Halliday. We are particularly in love with the shots of the two on the dance floor – so glamorous and how stunning is that dress?!
The Food & Drink: Following their nearby church ceremony, guests arrived at the Club and were welcomed with classic Kir Royale cocktails and chilled craft beers. Passed hors d’oeuvres were plentiful and included, house-baked cheddar scone “BLT”s, boursin cheese stuffed tomatoes and lamb lollipops. Terminal City Club’s own blend of B.C. red and white wines were poured for guests during the deluxe buffet dinner service. And, finally, as a late night pick-me-up, guests indulged in drive-in inspired snacks in between dances.
The Entertainment: The talented team at The Collective You captured stunning shots of guests as they arrived at the Club while pianist Michael Creber performed throughout cocktail hour. DJ John Hondronikolis, a friend of the couple’s, provided the party music throughout dinner and into the evening.
The Decor: Leo and his creative team at Wish Events helped bring the couple’s vision to life using clean, classic white and various shades of purple. White chiavari chairs were accented with purple sashes and tables were dressed with white silk linens, purple pin-tuck runners and finished with soft, billowy arrangements of hydrangeas.
A genuinely lovely couple and a joy to work with, we simply couldn’t be happier for Melissa and George!
